The main board stopped working
After we finally fixed the problem with the always sticking filamentThis is the plastic which is used as a source for the printRead more something else has broken
In the last few days we were experimenting with the white filamentThis is the plastic which is used as a source for the printRead more to make it work. We tried lower and higher temperatures, change the way the filamentThis is the plastic which is used as a source for the printRead more reach the printer etc. But none of these were helped. So we decided we switch back to the usual gold filamentThis is the plastic which is used as a source for the printRead more today.
Unfortunately as soon as we heated up the hotendThis is where the plastic actually melted. It is part of the extruder which contains the pusher and the barrel as well. to start printing the heater stopped heating and the fans halted... We are still trying to figure out what happened, but it is sure the problem resides in the main board of the printer. It seems everything works smoothly as long as we start the heater - then everything halts.
Of course this is not our last word. We're already looking for a replacement main board and trying to find someone locally who can help to solve the problem with the current board - maybe it can be repaired.
